Objective To evaluate the effects of CHOICE management mode on glycemic control and social interaction in adolescents with T1DM.Method 49 adolescents with T1DM were chose with convenience sampling method, and divided into the experimental group (26 cases) and the control group (23 cases) by random number table. The experimental group adopted the CHOICE management, while the control group took routine educational management. The questionnaires were used to investigate glycemic control and social interaction before intervention and 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after the intervention for two groups. Results The scores of “perception of diabetes control” and “perceived difficulty of diabetes” in the experimental group were significantly better than that in control group after 1 months intervention (P﹤0.05); While there were no statistically differences in other sides of glycemic control (the number of hypoglycemia, the severe hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia) and social interaction (restriction of diabetes) between two groups after the intervention. Conclusion CHOICE management mode can effectively improve the subjective feelings of glycemic control and social interaction in adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus
