Objective To explore the effect of mutual peer support interventions on the mental health and hope level of patients with new coronary pneumonia in the cabin hospital. Methods A total of 192 patients with mild neo-coronary pneumonia in Hanyang cabin were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group, with 96 patients in each group. The patients in the control group were given routine nursing care. The intervention group underwent peer support nursing based on conventional care, that is, patients with new coronary pneumonia who have a strong sense of responsibility and good physical and mental recovery conduct emotional communication and mutual life assistance with other patients in the same group. The SCL-90 and Herth Hope Index (HHI) were used to compare the intervention effects of the two groups. Results: The SCL-90 scores of the two groups of patients were significantly higher than the local norms, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). On discharge, the SCL-90 scores again. Except for hostility, paranoia, and psychiatric symptoms, the other factors in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05); Compared with the control group, the intervention group had a higher level of hope at discharge, the differences in each factor and total score were statistically significant (P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Patients with mild neo-coronary pneumonia isolated in the cabin hospital have psychological problems. The introduction of peer support nursing mode intervention can improve the patient"s mental health, increase the level of hope of the patient, thus helping the patient"s rehabilitation.
